Gratitude

For the day that has unfolded
  with grace,
and has been sprinkled with peace.
    yielded deeper friendships,
      meaningful conversations,
         and a good portion of laughter;
thank you.

For the evening which has slipped quietly
  upon me,
bringing rest
   starlight
      and moonlight to bless;
thank you.
